                •precipitation reaction leaves a solid behind, which is insoluble
                •pick two solutions with the ions you need and mix them together
                           •they swap their last names, with one insoluble product being solid

                •insolubles can also be made by adding an acid to a soluble salt
                           •soluble salt + acid ------> insoluble salt + new acid
