2.38 describe tests for the gases: hydrogen, oxygen, carbon dioxide, ammonia and chlorine

2.38 •hydrogen: use a lightened splint, for a squeaky pop
•oxygen: use a glowing split, for it to be retightened
•carbon dioxide: bubble through limewater, for it to turn cloudy
•ammonia: turns damp red litmus paper blue, with a strong smell
•chlorine: bleaches damp litmus paper, turning it white (turns red at first, since it’s acidic)
•water: add water to anhydrous copper (II) sulphate for it to turn blue
